Flagship project Youth & AI

Skeptia: Youth & AI

Helping young people use AI with judgment, curiosity, and critical thought.

What it is

A youth-focused initiative for thoughtful AI use.

Skeptia explores how young people can grow up with AI in ways that are practical, reflective, and grounded.

The goal is not to position youth against AI, but to help them use it without weakening judgment, critical thinking, or confidence in their own reasoning.

Why it matters

AI is unavoidable. Passive dependence should not be.

AI tools are already part of everyday life across education, communication, creativity, and research. That makes thoughtful use increasingly important.

Skeptia focuses on helping youth recognize risks such as overreliance, misinformation, shallow understanding, and uncritical acceptance of confident outputs.

How it works

Workshops, scenarios, and critical inquiry.

  • Recognizing when AI is helping versus replacing thinking
  • Tracing claims back to sources and checking reliability
  • Identifying hallucinations, bias, and weak evidence
  • Using structured questions to evaluate AI-generated content
  • Maintaining independent judgment in real situations

Workshop direction

Symbiosis, not rejection.

Skeptia is built around the idea that youth should learn how to work with AI well, not simply avoid it.

The emphasis is on practical strategies that strengthen human agency: pausing before trusting, checking before repeating, and thinking before delegating.

Core principle

Use AI as a tool, not as a substitute for thought.

Skeptia treats AI as something to work with deliberately. That means preserving curiosity, judgment, and a healthy habit of verification even as AI becomes more embedded in everyday life.

Over time, this project can grow into workshops, public resources, and educational frameworks that help young people stay grounded in the middle of rapid technological change.
