Helping young people keep thinking in an AI-shaped world.

The AI Professionals is a Geneva-based nonprofit working on thoughtful AI adoption, with a particular focus on young people. Our work combines practical education, applied research, and frameworks grounded in real investigations and risk practice.

Based in Geneva, our team brings experience from technology, international security, and investigations practice into the AI safety field.

Agentic AI Investigations (research)

Developing investigative methodology for incidents involving misaligned agentic AI, drawing on long-standing practice in intentional insider threat investigations — a parallel increasingly recognised in the AI safety field but not yet addressed with a dedicated methodology.

Why this matters

AI adoption is outrunning the habits needed to use it well.

AI tools are arriving in classrooms, workplaces, and everyday decisions faster than the habits and institutions needed to use them well. Two gaps in particular motivate our work:

  • Cognitive enfeeblement. When AI can produce confident answers on demand, the small acts of reading, verifying, and thinking things through become easy to skip — and the ability to do them atrophies silently.
  • Missing investigative practice. As AI agents take more autonomous action, incidents involving misaligned behaviour will require the same kind of dedicated investigations methodology that fields like cybersecurity and insider threat have developed over decades. That methodology does not yet exist.

Both gaps share a common feature: they reward serious, grounded, practitioner-informed work over abstract commentary. That is the work we are set up to do.
